4-H announces dates for Summer Youth Camps

WATERFORD — Washington County 4-H announced its 2025 summer camp lineup for youth in kindergarten through ninth grade.
The Ohio State University Extension will offer four camps this year, including a day camp, an overnight camp and two multi-day overnight camps at Camp Hervida near Waterford.
– Junior Camp, grades three to five, June 23-27 (registration due May 30)
– Cloverbud Camp, ages 5-8, June 30 (registration due May 30)
– Beginner Camp:second grade to 10 years old, July 1-2 (registration due May 30)
– Senior Camp: grades six through nine, July 22-26 (registration due June 13)
Registration costs will cover lodging, meals, daily canteen, evening snack, class and program supplies for the campers. Camp T-shirts will be available at additional cost.
Washington County 4-H Junior Campers offered the following feedback on their camping experiences in 2024:
– 92% indicated that they had someone to look up to at camp.
– 100% said they made a new friend at camp.
– 94% indicated that they learned something new.
– 99% said they enjoy doing activities outside.
– 96% wanted to return to camp next year.
