The Ohio State Highway Patrol has released the following reports:

— Jay H. Handschumacher, 62, 1110 Dalzell Road, Whipple, driving a 2022 Ford F-250, was traveling westbound on Washington County 11 in Salem Township July 28 when he struck and killed a deer attempting to cross the roadway. Handschumacher had no reported injuries and no charges were listed.

— Nathan A. LeMasters, 37, 2109 McNeal Road, Waterford, driving a 2011 Harley Davidson FLHP, was traveling westbound on Township Road 108 in Watertown Township July 28 when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. LeMasters had suspected minor injuries and was taken by Waterford EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital. LeMasters was charged with failure to control.

— John W. Foor, 55, 253 2300th Ave., Latham, Ill., driving a 1999 Peterbilt 379, owned by Investments Trucking INC., 102 E. Main St., Alhambra, Il, was traveling southbound on Ohio 339 in Waterford Township July 28 when he struck utility lines. No injuries were reported and no charges were listed.

— Raymond C. Carlisle, 72, 3521 Foskett Road, Medina, driving a 2018 Chevy Silverado, was traveling southbound on Ohio 821 in Macksburg July 28 when he fell asleep and traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, a ditch and sideswiped a pole. Carlisle had no reported injuries and was charged with failure to control.

— Jeffrey D. Lauer, 58, 5283 Caywood Road, Whipple, driving a 2006 Chevy Silverado, was traveling northbound on Washington County 375 (Glendale Road) in Fearing Township July 28 and was struck by a falling tree. Injuries were possible but Lauer was not transported. No charges were listed.

— David R. Maxson, 61, 3995 Pinnacle View Road, Hurricane, W.Va., driving a 2018 Honda GL1800, was traveling southbound on Ohio 555 in Wesley Township July 31. Aaron F. Emery, 56, 1010 Caywood Road, Marietta, driving a 2016 Honda Accord, was traveling westbound on Ohio 550. A 2000 Honda Odyssey and a 2017 Nissan Rogue, owned by Garayle E. King, 1830 Ohio 550, Apt. F, Cutler, were parked unattended off Ohio 555. Maxson failed to stop at the stop sign on Ohio 555 and was struck by Emery. Maxson went off the right side of the roadway on Ohio 55 and struck the 2000 Honda Odyssey. Maxson exited his vehicle, which continued on and struck the 2017 Nissan Rogue. Emery had no reported injuries. Maxson had serious suspected injuries and was taken by the Wesley Fire Department Squad to the Belpre Marietta Memorial Campus. Maxson was charged with failure to obey a right of way through a highway.

— Elizabeth A. Zwick, 61, 3701 Duck Creek Road, Lower Salem, driving a 2016 Acura MDX, was traveling northbound on Ohio 821 in Marietta Township July 31 when she struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported and no charges were listed.

— Jeffrey A. McKendry, 55, 1416 Blue Ave., Zanesville, driving a 2021 Chevy Malibu, was traveling southbound on Ohio 7 in Marietta Township July 31, when he struck a deer. No injuries were reported and no charges were listed.

— Joshua L. Chapman, 42, 1032 W. Alkaline Spring Road, Vandalia, driving a 2023 Indian Pursuit Motorcycle, was traveling southbound on Ohio 555 in Union Township Aug. 2 when he went off the right side of the roadway, struck a road sign and overturned. Chapman exited his vehicle and struck a large rock and a downed log. Chapman had suspected serious injuries and was taken by Malta McConnelsville Fire Department to OSU Wexner. Chapman was charged with failure to control.

— Marley L. Cline, 27, 1019 Park Ave., New Matamoras, driving a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta, owned by Caleb S. Carpenter, 1332 Lancaster St., Marietta, was traveling northbound on Ohio 7 in Grandview Township Aug. 7 when she struck a deer that was attempting to cross the roadway. No injuries were reported and no charges were listed.

— Lindsey T.R. Fortney, 18, 200 Phillips St., Marietta, driving a 1997 Chevy Lumina, was traveling northbound on Washington County 9 in Independence Township Aug. 7 when she lost control of the vehicle, drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Fortney and a passenger had suspected minor injuries and were taken by a Newport Squad to Marietta Memorial Hospital. Fortney was charged with failure to control.

— John L. Monroe, 42, 5920 State Route 78, Gloucester, driving a 2002 Saturn SL, and Vanessa A. Goins, 40, 808 Pomeroy Pike, Belpre, driving a 2018 Buick Enclave, were both traveling westbound on United Ohio 50 in Belpre Township Aug. 9 when Monroe attempted to change lanes and struck Goins. No injuries were listed and Monroe was charged with not obeying the rules for driving in marked lanes.
