BEVERLY — The Fort Frye FFA Chapter received a Chapter Success Grant to fund programming designed to help the Beverly local community.

The Ohio FFA Foundation awarded this grant to the Fort Frye FFA Chapter to support building sustainable relationships and programs that will benefit Ohio communities for years to come.

After FFA chapters submitted project proposals to the Ohio FFA Foundation, a total of 25 chapters received grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. As one of the grant recipients, the Fort Frye FFA Chapter will work in collaboration with Washington County Farm Bureau and local farms. Members will learn plant science and business skills as they raise high quality mums that will be sold to local FFA Alumni chapters for fundraisers and at community events. All proceeds from these sales will then be re-invested into the local FFA chapters. They will also hold Farm to Fork and elementary ag day events to share what they have learned through this project.

The project will be completed by March 2026.

The Ohio FFA Foundation’s Chapter Success Grants program is made possible by support from Heritage Cooperative, the Ohio Department of Agriculture, and Trillium Farms.

Starting at $2.99/week.
