Blues musician/educator Doug MacLeod of Memphis, Tenn., an internationally known blues musician with 26 albums to his credit, performed Friday for the students at Belpre Middle School as part of the Blues in the Schools program.

MacLeod talked to the students about the history of Blues music and its historical significance and the impact it has had on American music. He also brought a message of the healing power of music to overcome his life story of childhood abuse and stuttering.
