The regular Washington County Commissioners meeting was moved from Thursday to Wednesday morning this week.

The agenda included the usual budget updates in the county and a few comments from city officials.

Commissioner James Booth was absent for the meeting. Commissioner Charlie Schilling left shortly after adjournment to attend a two-and-a-half day CORSA (County Risk-Sharing Authority) conference in Columbus. CORSA is a sharing pool through CCAO (County Commissioners Association of Ohio).

“We’re going to be finalizing some things at the retreat and I’m really happy to be on the board,” said Schilling.

He said they’re looking to analyze some insurance options in the county and eliminate expenses.

“We’re looking at savings for individual counties,” he said.
