4-H recognizes members and volunteers at end of year celebration

Washington County 4-H recently recognized volunteers, youth members and community supporters during its Year-End 4-H Celebration.
Local volunteers were honored for reaching service milestones. Those recognized included:
– 79 years: Charlotte Wagner
– 50 years: Mary Ann Mitchell
– 35 years: Joyce Kronberg

Four community awards were also presented. The Friend of 4-H Award went to Andrew Lisk; the 4-H Alumni Award to Cory Sampson; the Business Friend of 4-H Award to the Washington County Soil & Water Conservation District; and the Friend of Hervida Award to Jason Wilson of KAM Masonry LLC.
The celebration included a special acknowledgement of Mary Ann Mitchell for 50 years of service. Mitchell is a member and treasurer of the Washington County 4-H Saddle Horse Committee and previously served as an advisor for the Thundering Hooves 4-H Club.

Project pins and special project awards were presented to members based on achievement and growth in their respective project areas. Additional recognition was given to Cloverbud graduates, Ohio State Fair participants and other honorees.
