Today is Election Day in Ohio, with polls open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The ballot includes contested races in Marietta, Belpre and multiple villages, townships and boards of education.

Three county-wide tax levies are on the ballot. Replacement levies supporting the Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities and senior citizen services would make the rates passed years ago effective on current property values, increasing the amount they collect. A renewal levy for the Washington County Public Library would continue to collect the same $506,000 a year it has been.

Washington County Board of Elections Director Mandy Amos reminded voters the board’s office is not a polling place today. A list of polling places can be found on the board’s website, https://www.boe.ohio.gov/washington/.

Election results will be updated tonight at mariettatimes.com, with stories on the outcomes online Wednesday and in Thursday’s print edition.

Starting at $2.99/week.
