Three people — two adults and one juvenile — were arrested on drug charges Thursday evening following a traffic stop by the Marietta Police Department.

In a press release issued Friday, the MPD reported that at 9:21 p.m. Thursday, Patrolman Devon Moss made a traffic stop on a vehicle with three occupants for a traffic violation.

When speaking with the driver, Russell A. McCabe, 58, of Franklin Street, Marietta, Moss learned McCabe had picked up the other two passengers that had just gotten off a bus in Marietta coming from Akron, the release said.

The passengers were a 15-year-old female and Devin Kingston Scott, 26, both residents of Akron. Scott was observed breathing heavily and shaking nervously, the release said.

Moss requested Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy Ashley Wallace and her K9 Mauser who performed a free air sniff of the vehicle that indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle, according to the release.
