PARKERSBURG – The West Virginia Symphony Parkersburg, led by guest conductor Chelsea Tipton II, performed “Music From the Big Screen” at Blennerhassett Middle School Sunday. The group performed pieces from TV and movie legends such as John Williams, known for his work on Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Jaws; Henry Mancini, known for The Pink Panther Theme, “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the music from Peter Gunn, and Klaus Badelt, who composed the Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator soundtracks.
