The Mid-Ohio Valley Career Connect Job Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the Tower Event & Conference Center.
The event is free for the public with a Veterans Lunch & Learn scheduled for 11:30 a.m., according to a release from OhioMeansJobs.
Attendees at the event can expect resources and job information from hiring employers, workforce agencies and community organizations.
“Our area is full of dedicated individuals who step up, make connections and ensure people are linked to the resources available,” said Washington County Job and Family Services Workforce Development Administrator Stephanie Canfield. “Together, we continue working to strengthen and grow our community.”
The job fair will provide engagement opportunities and resume assistance for those looking to submit job applications, the release said. Personnel will be available to provide support and engage directly with job seekers and or those looking for more information and guidance.
It’s recommended that attendees arrive at the job fair prepared with resumes and dressed professionally.
The types of employers will include education, health care, manufacturing, public service, and construction.
“We’re proud to host our first Veterans Lunch & Learn as a way to honor our veterans and recognize the organizations in our community that go above and beyond in supporting them and their families,” Canfield said.
The free, hot lunch will be provided by Wilky’s Sports Bar. Veterans will have an opportunity to connect with local employers and organizations, according to the release.
