Marietta City School BOE meeting
The Marietta City School District Board of Education will hold its regular August Board of Education meeting at 6 p.m. on today at 111 Academy Drive.

Fort Frye BOE meeting
The date of the regular August board meeting of the Fort Frye Board of Education has been changed to 6 p.m. Thursday at Fort Frye High School, 420 Fifth Street, Beverly.
Steak fry
A steak fry will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the VFW Post #5108, 319 Pike St., Marietta. A meal is $12 and includes steak, a baked potato, a salad and a roll. For more information or for carry-out, call 740-374-9038.
Steak fry
Beverly American Legion Post 389 will hold a public steak fry from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the Post Home, 114 Fifth St., Beverly. A meal includes steak, a baked potato, salad bar and a roll. The band AMIX will perform following the steak fry.
Smoked pulled pork dinner
Graysville and Community Volunteer Fire Department will hold a smoked pulled pork dinner at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12, at 38851 Ohio 26, Graysville. The menu includes pulled pork, baked potato, baked beans, roll, dessert and drink, for $15 per person.
GriefShare program
The GriefShare program will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. through Nov. 12, with a special program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19 called "Surviving the Holidays". This 13-week program will be offered at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta. Each week, you will view a 30-minute video filled with helpful guidance, discuss grief-related issues, and gain personal recovery tips through your workbook. Zumba Classes
Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
