Jigsaw puzzle event
First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta, is inviting anyone who enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles to come and help put four different 1000-piece puzzles together from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. You choose whichever one you want to work on and join in the fun and fellowship with others. There is no charge, but you are welcome to bring a snack to share. All ages are welcome to come and the church is handicap accessible. Enter through the church parking lot door.
PERI meeting
PERI (Public Employees Retiree Inc.) Washington County Chapter 51 will hold a meeting at 11 a.m. Sept. 8, at the Marietta Township Community Building, 260 Sandhill Road, Reno. The guest speaker will be Andrea Bussert from A.M.B.A. to discuss the upcoming open enrollment on health care benefits. All state, county and township retired employees are welcome. Smoked pulled pork dinner
Graysville and Community Volunteer Fire Department will hold a smoked pulled pork dinner at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 12, at 38851 Ohio 26, Graysville. The menu includes pulled pork, baked potato, baked beans, roll, dessert and drink, for $15 per person.
WSCO Board of Trustees
The Washington State College of Ohio Board of Trustees will hold its monthly meeting at 4 p.m. Sept. 21, in room H108 of the Main Building.

GriefShare program
The GriefShare program will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. through Nov. 12, with a special program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19 called "Surviving the Holidays". This 13-week program will be offered at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta. Each week, you will view a 30-minute video filled with helpful guidance, discuss grief-related issues, and gain personal recovery tips through your workbook. Zumba Classes
Zumba classes will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and 11:30 a.m. Monday at the O'Neill Center. The cost is $5 per class or $25 for six classes. All ages welcome. For more information, call 740-373-3914.
