¯ A deputy issued a citation for speed March 9 to Anna M. Fowler, 27237 Huckleberry Road, Coolville, for 79 mph in a 60-mph zone; and Brett K States, 3436 Buck Run Road, Mineral Wells, W.Va., for 74 mph in a 60-mph zone, and fictitious plates.

¯ A deputy began an investigation March 9 into a financial scam.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Thursday at the Dough Boyz Pizza in Muskingum Township. A customer returned to the store unhappy with their service/purchased items, requesting a refund.

The customer was told they would not give them a refund with the woman, identified as Misty West, reaching into the tip jar and removing money from the jar and then leaving the store.

The employee went after the woman and ended up in the vehicle with her when she fled the parking lot. The employee and another occupant pleaded with West to return her to the store, which she did.

Attempts to talk with West met with negative results. A warrant was requested for West, 21460 State Route 550, Amesville, on a charge of theft, kidnapping and robbery.

Arrests/Washington County

The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Joseph Adam McKittrick, 42, of Marietta, was arrested for aggravated possession of drugs, a felony, driving under suspension and failure to display plates, both misdemeanors.

¯ Nicole Danielle Lewis, 32, of Marietta, was arrested for a parole violation, a felony.
