¯ Units responded June 27 to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. After the investigation, it was learned that a suspect stole $5.08 of merchandise. An officer will request a summons be issued to the suspect for theft.
¯ Units responded June 27 to 118 Dudley Ave. in reference to multiple 911 hang-up calls that were being received. After the investigation, an officer arrested Todd Weddle for disrupting public service.
¯ A patrolman was dispatched June 27 to 515 Warren St. in regards to a theft. Upon arrival, the patrolman made contact with the victim, who advised that sometime over the previous weekend, he had three specialized mountain bikes stolen from his property.
¯ Units investigated a domestic violence complaint June 28 on Chestnut Street. Donte Allen was arrested for domestic violence was transported to the Washington County Jail.
¯ An officer responded June 28 to 407 Franklin St. in reference to a theft complaint. Upon arrival, the officer found that a red Husky 22-inch mower was stolen sometime over night.
¯ Units were dispatched June 28 to 630 Pearl St. Ext. in reference to a Rodrick Pettis having a warrant. Upon arrival and after consent to search, Pettis was located hiding inside the residence. Rodrick Domion Pettis was arrested for fugitive from justice and taken to jail. Richard Deane Bailey was also arrested for obstructing justice.
¯ Units responded to the area of Clifton Street June 28 in reference to a disturbance. After the investigation, Justin Alexander Simpson was arrested for assault.
¯ At the request of Pacific County, Washington County Sheriff's Office transferred items to a deceased person's family member on June 29.
¯ A patrolman was dispatched to 301 Putnam St. June 29 in reference to a dog bite. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who advised officers of the location of the incident. The case remains under investigation.
¯ Units investigated a disturbance June 29 at 216 Summit St. During the investigation, it was determined that Leslie Yoak and James Harward engaged in combat at that residence. Both persons were issued minor misdemeanor citations for disorderly conduct fighting.
¯ An officer was dispatched June 30 to 108 S. Seventh St. in reference to a welfare check. Officers made contact with the woman in her car. She was found to have drugs and drug paraphernalia. A summons will be prepared for the woman to appear before Marietta Municipal Court.
¯ Units were dispatched June 30 to 1207 County House Lane Apt. E in reference to a welfare check. At the apartment, an elderly woman was found by officers to have passed away. Joyce Alberta Ostrowske, 83, appears to have passed from natural causes and her body was released.
¯ A patrolman responded Friday to Walmart in reference to a theft complaint. It was learned that a woman driving a white Chrysler had stolen $47.94 in merchandise. Dreama Langsdorf was located later in the day and was arrested for theft.

¯ Units responded Friday to Settlers Bank in reference to a bad checks complaint. After the investigation, it was learned that a suspect passed two bad checks valued at $1,549.83. An officer will request the suspect be indicted by the grand jury with the recommended charge of passing bad checks.
¯ A patrolman responded Friday to Lowe's in reference to a theft complaint. Once on scene, it was learned that an unknown man stole $1,486.40 in merchandise.
¯ A patrolman stopped a vehicle Friday for not having its headlights on at night. During the stop, criminal indicators were observed and a K-9 was requested. An officer performed a free air sniff of the vehicle with K-9 Grando, which yielded a positive indication for illegal drugs on the passenger door. Located inside of the vehicle was a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. The item will be sent to BCI for chemical testing and charges are pending the results.
¯ An officer attempted to stop a vehicle Saturday after observing it run a red light at a high rate of speed. The vehicle failed to yield until it pulled into a residence on Fay Avenue and the driver fled on foot. The operator was later identified and criminal charges are pending.
¯ A patrolman was dispatched Saturday to a Riley Drive apartment in reference to a possible domestic dispute. After the investigation, Marissa Cole Prunty was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
¯ Units responded to a Par Mar store, 101 Alta St. It was learned that a suspect stole a bottle of liquor valued at $3.49. A patrolman will request a summons be issued to the suspect for theft.
¯ Units responded Sunday to 702 Fourth St. in reference to a drug overdose. A man was awake upon arrival and was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment.
¯ A patrolman was dispatched Sunday to 205 State St. in reference to a dead on arrival. On the patrolman's arrival, he learned that Alice Murphy, 80, was a hospice patient due to lung cancer. Hospice Nurse Jennifer McHenry arrived on scene to handle the call.
¯ Units responded Sunday to a Sheldon Avenue address in reference to a domestic violence complaint. After the investigation, a patrolman completed a warrant request for George McAtee for domestic violence. He was located later in the evening and arrested.
¯ Units met with a subject Sunday on station reference threatening Facebook messages. They completed an informational report in reference to the messages.

¯ A sergeant filed charges June 29 of being a fugitive from justice on inmate William Edward Bartges Jr., 49, of 2800 Beach Drive, Belpre, due to a warrant being received from the State of West Virginia on a charge of failure to appear for a DUI charge.
¯ A deputy began an investigation June 29 into a stolen Volkswagen from Muskingum Township.
¯ Deputies began an investigation June 29 in Warren Township in reference to a domestic incident. After completing the investigation charges of domestic violence were filed on a juvenile subject.
¯ A deputy was dispatched June 29 to Barth Road, Warren Township, to a report of Steven Pinkerman's dog being out and off his property. A neighbor reported the animal growling at them, as well as taking an aggressive posture.
Deputies responded to the Pinkerman residence where they observed a black and white pit bull barking aggressively. The deputy exited the patrol vehicle in an attempt to contact Pinkerman. The dog bit him on the leg, and then regressed back to the house.
Assistance was given by a lieutenant with a catch pole to place the animal into the home. Numerous attempts were made to reach Pinkerman, with negative results. A summons is being requested for Steven B. Pinkerman, 54, of 3011 Barth Road, Belpre, for failure to restrain.

¯ Crystal Lynn Williams, 33, of Marietta, was arrested for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and theft, both misdemeanors, and possession of fentanyl, a felony.
¯ Candice Dawn Knapp, 35, of Parkersburg, was arrested for two counts of receiving stolen property, both felonies.
¯ Edward Leon Merle Davis, 38, of Parkersburg, was arrested for breach of recognizance, aggravated possession of drugs and two counts possession of drugs, all felonies.
¯ Curt E Hendershot, 51, of New Matamoras, was arrested for domestic violence and menacing, both misdemeanors.
¯ Demetrius Benjamin Marberry, 41, of Belpre, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony.
¯ Courtney Nichole Clayton, 29, of Belpre, was arrested for failure to appear, a felony.
¯ Dana Nigel Harrison, 50, of Belpre, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony.
¯ Marissa Cole Prunty, 21, of Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
¯ Tara Renee Jenkins, 44, of Little Hocking, was arrested for breach of recognizance, probation violation and no operator's license, all misdemeanors, and possession of drugs, a felony.
