McConnelsville man killed in motorcycle crash

A 24-year-old McConnelsville man was killed in a motorcycle accident at 12:40 p.m. Sunday near Pennsville.
Wesley Hollobaugh, of 8424 N. State Route 60, was riding a 2006 Honda CRF450R off-road motorcycle westbound on Penn Cemetery Road, about a mile and a half east of Pennsville. He went off the right side of the road, ramped a culvert, struck several rocks and overturned his motorcycle, said Lt. Chris Chesar of the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Hollobaugh was separated from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol was not involved, Chesar said.
Also on scene were M&M EMS and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
