¯ A deputy began an investigation Dec. 12 into a domestic violence incident. After conducting the investigation it was determined that no crime had been committed.
¯ A deputy was dispatched Dec. 13 to Ohio 550, Warren Township, to a report of a burglary. The caller, Jason Shuck, advised he was watching a male break into his residence.
A short time later, the perimeter of the residence was checked, finding no evidence of anyone being in the area.
Upon attempting to contact Shuck, the deputy was advised that Shuck had not been to the residence.
Deputies continued searching and made contact with Shuck after he arrived at the residence.
Deputies also located a piece of foil with a black substance, a glass smoking device, and seven plastic baggies containing residue. After completing the investigation, it was determined that Jason Allen Shuck, 35, of 19330 State Route 550, Marietta, would be placed under arrest and charged with disrupting public service, possession of a controlled substance and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
¯ A deputy began an investigation Dec. 13 into an unruly child. This case remains under investigation.
Arrests/Washington County
The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
¯ Michael Anthony Bowman, 37, Marietta, was arrested for two counts of probation violation, both misdemeanors.
¯ Amanda Nicole Spence, 24, of Cleveland, was arrested for possession of fentanyl, a felony.
¯ Sidney Jermaine Walker, 47, of Atlanta, Ga., was arrested for possession of fentanyl and counterfeiting, both felonies.
¯ Michael Ray Martin, 46, of Stewart, was arrested for a probation violation.
¯ David Winfield Madison, 49, of Belpre, was arrested for two counts of rape, both felonies.
¯ William Corey Woods, 36, of Pomeroy, was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony, driving under suspension, failure to stop in assured clear distance, fictitious plates, and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.
¯ Braydon Nathaniel Hook, 21, of Belpre, was arrested for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Reports/Marietta
¯ An officer was dispatched Dec. 14 to Walmart in reference to an adult shoplifter failing to scan and pay for $72.25 in merchandise. The officer arrested Carl Robison on charges of theft and trespassing.
¯ An officer stopped a black Hyundai Accent on Dec. 14 for an expired plate violation. The driver was contacted and identified as Charles Jeffrey Howell. The odor of raw marijuana was detected and Howell was asked about the smell. He acknowledged the presence of marijuana and handed over one bag of marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, a second bag was located just under the driver's seat, with the total amount weighing 17.7 grams.
Howell was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for possession of marijuana and a traffic ticket for expired plates. He was advised of his court date and time and then released.
¯ A patrolman responded Dec. 15 to 114 Ray St. to investigate the theft of a Champion 3600 watt generator between Dec. 14 and 15.
¯ A patrolman responded Thursday to 200 Timberline Drive to investigate the theft of jewelry between Feb. 14 and this date.
¯ An officer spoke to a complainant Thursday in reference to a domestic violence threat. Once the investigation was completed, John Bigler was arrested for domestic violence by threat.
