¯ Deputies were dispatched Dec. 26 to Ross Road, Decatur Township, in reference to a 911 hang-up with yelling heard in the background. Deputies were advised that Breanna Keffer resided at the home and had struck both of the residents with a closed fist, multiple times.

A 911 call was attempted with Keffer taking the phone and throwing it in the yard. She admitted to deputies that she had spit on and struck the residents, also throwing the phone while the call was being made.

Breanna N Keffer, 19, of Little Hocking, was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of domestic violence, and one count of disrupting public service.

¯ A deputy responded Dec. 27 to Ohio 555, Wesley Township, to a report of a cabin being entered and items taken, including a Honda Four Wheeler 400. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A lieutenant was dispatched Dec. 27 to Maple Street, Newport Township, to a report of Gennia Carte and a man fighting. It was reported that Carte had struck the man in the head with something.

The victim stated he was in the kitchen when Carte came up behind him and hit him in the head. The victim thought that he was struck with her hand. The victim also fell during the incident causing injury to his leg. Carte was reportedly having a tough time standing, and her speech was slurred. Carte denied hitting the man.

After completing the investigation, Gennia M. Carte, 57, of Maple Street, Newport, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Dec. 27 into a breaking and entering at the Lawnsdale Bar, Briggs Hill Road, Belpre. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Tuesday into storage units being broken into in Dunham Township. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Deputies responded Tuesday to Calder Ridge Road to a complaint of tires being dumped. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation Tuesday into a breaking and entering of campers in Wesley Township. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Deputies began an investigation Tuesday in Muskingum Township regarding stolen road signs. This case remains under investigation.

Arrests/Washington County

The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Clarence Otto Jeffers III, 41, of Marietta, was arrested for tampering with evidence, a felony, resisting arrest, driving under suspension and probation violation, all misdemeanors.

¯ Jacob Edward Mason, 35, of Marietta, was arrested for menacing by stalking, telecommunications harassment, and two counts of criminal damaging, all misdemeanors.

¯ Daniel Earl Sciance Jr., 25, of Marietta, was arrested for importuning and possession of criminal tools, both felonies, driving under suspension and speed, both misdemeanors.

¯ Gabrielle Elizabeth Rhoton, 26, of Belpre, was arrested for breach of recognizance, criminal mischief, violation of protection order and menacing, all misdemeanors.
