¯ An officer was requested Jan. 4 to assist the Marietta Fire Department with an overdose on Harmar Street.

The woman was revived using Narcan, and charges are being submitted for possession of drug abuse instruments.

¯ A patrolman responded Jan. 4 to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting complaint.

The investigation found a woman was not scanning items during self-checkout.

She will be summoned for theft in the amount of $157.87.

¯ A patrolman was dispatched Jan. 5 to Bridgeport Equipment, 15 Acme St., in reference to a theft of clothing valued at $136.97. The suspect was identified, and charges are pending.

¯ An officer responded Jan. 5 to Walmart in reference to a theft.

A woman concealed merchandise and attempted to leave the store without payment.

She was confronted by loss prevention and fled the area, leaving the stolen $217.55 in merchandise. The investigation is ongoing.

¯ A patrolman responded Jan. 5 to station to speak with a complainant who advised her medication had come up missing. The case remains under investigation.

¯ An officer responded Jan. 5 to 807 Gilman Ave. in reference to a possible theft of property.

Through the investigation, it was found the reported suspect had rights to the property and the case was deemed a civil issue between the parties.

¯ A patrolman was dispatched Friday to the intersection of Front and Putnam streets to speak with a man about preaching loudly at the end of the bridge. He was informed that his actions were disturbing the owner of a nearby business.

The actions are under further investigation.

¯ A patrolman spoke Friday with representatives from Bridgeport Equipment regarding a shoplifting which occurred on Dec. 23.

¯ Units were dispatched Sunday to 1 Acme St. in reference to a vehicle stolen from Beckley, W.Va., being located at that address.

Officers found the vehicle and impounded it per the investigating agency. The case remains under investigation.

¯ An officer responded Monday to Bridgeport Equipment in reference to a theft complaint.

It was found a man removed $35 in ammunition from the manufacturer’s box and concealed the ammunition in his clothing.

The officer will request a summons be issued to the suspect for theft.
