Reports/Washington County

¯ A lieutenant was on patrol southbound on Ohio 7, Belpre Township, on Saturday. A vehicle in front of the lieutenant was observed, and a traffic stop was conducted after pacing the vehicle at 70 to 74 mph in a 60-mph zone. There was an odor of alcoholic beverages coming from the driver, Kathy Hamilton. Hamilton's speech was also slurred. She did field sobriety tests, which she performed poorly on.

Kathy Dawn Hamilton, 49, of 717 Hall St., Parkersburg, was placed under arrest and transported for a BAC. The results were .212 and she was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing on the charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs .17 of 1 gram or more by weight of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Sunday into stolen items reported in Belpre Township.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Monday into campers at Davlin Lake being entered and items of value stolen and/or damaged.

¯ A sergeant began an investigation Monday in Dunham Township of a 2018 Carry On utility trailer being stolen.

Arrests/Washington County

The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ James Rusty Wallace, 36, of Parkersburg, was arrested for two counts of failure to comply with order or signal of PO, both felonies.

¯ Joshua Michael Miller, 39, of Waverly, W.Va., was arrested for possession of fentanyl, unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, having weapons while under disability, and possession of drugs, all felonies.

¯ Kevin Tracy Cherry, 38, of Akron, was arrested for theft, a felony out of Stark County.
