¯ A three-car crash occurred Feb. 18 on Ohio 60 in McConnelsville.

A 2015 Ford Explorer owned by Blixon Elkins of 4114 N. State Route 78, McConnelsville, and a 2013 Honda Civic owned by Tracy L. Simmons of 31 Madison St., Glouster, were parked unattended in parking spots adjacent to Ohio 60.

Raymond A. Craig, 50, of 5740 Township Road 273 SE, Shawnee, was northbound on Ohio 60, went off the right side of the road and struck Simmons’ vehicle with his 2014 Nissan Versa. Simmons’ car was forced into Elkins’ car. Craig was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.

¯ Phillip J. Ball, 44, of 2913 Washington Blvd., Belpre, was westbound Feb. 20 on U.S. 50 in Belpre Township when he drove his 2000 Volkswagen Beetle off the right side of the roadway. He struck a ditch and overturned. He was cited for not driving in a single lane of traffic.

¯ A two-vehicle accident occurred Feb. 21 on Ohio 339 in Belpre Township.

Owen T. Young, 21, of 7350 Marion St., Chesterhill, and Roger L. Snider, 57, of 971 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, were southbound on Ohio 339. Snider slowed to turn left onto Township Road 289 and was struck in the rear by Young’s 2004 Honda CR-V. Snider drove his 1991 Chevrolet S-10 off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Young was cited for not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead.

¯ Shawn Michael Miller, 16, of 8649 Stanleyville Road, Whipple, was eastbound Feb. 22 on County Road 11 in Liberty Township. He ran his 2006 Ford F-150 off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and a tree. He was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.

¯ A three-car accident occurred Feb. 24 on Ohio 339 in Barlow Township.

Aiden M. Westerman, 16, of 725 Short Brook Road, Vincent, Ayden C. Cornell, 17, of 31 Wood Drive, Little Hocking, and Jaxon R. Weaver, 16, of 1135 Tower Road, Little Hocking, were northbound on Ohio 339 slowing for traffic. Westerman’s 2013 Subaru Outback struck Cornell’s 2014 Chevrolet Cruze in the rear, causing him to strike Weaver’s 2008 Saab 9-5 in the rear. Westerman was cited for not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead.

¯ Jarett L. Cannon, 21, of 105 Oak Ridge Drive, Roland, Okla., and Karly A. Rudisil, 25, of 202 Meadowcrest Lane, Little Hocking, were southbound Feb. 28 on Ohio 555 in Belpre Township. Rudisil’s 2017 Jaguar XF was stopped at a stop sign and was struck in the rear by the vehicle Cannon was driving, a 2021 Ford E-350 owned by Wade Carrier Company Inc. of Yukon, Okla.

Cannon was cited for not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead.
