Reports/Ohio State Highway Patrol
¯ A two-car crash occurred Feb. 21 on Ohio 339 in Belpre Township. Owen T. Young, 21, of 7350 Marion St., Chesterhill, and Roger L. Snider, 57, of 971 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, were southbound on Ohio 339. Snider slowed his 1991 Chevrolet S-10 to turn onto Township Road 289 and was struck in the rear by Young's 2004 Honda CR-V. After impact, Snider drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. Young was cited for not maintaining an assured clear distance ahead.
¯ Richard R. Thomas, 36, of 62 Brush Road, Marietta, was eastbound Feb. 27 on Broadway Avenue, New Matamoras, when his 2010 Toyota 4-Runner traveled left of the centerline. He struck a 2001 Chevrolet Venture owned by Everett D. LeMasters of 504 Broadway Ave., New Matamoras, and a 2001 BMW 330CI owned by Lakyn N. Hunter of 102 Longacre St. Apt. B, Marietta, that were parked along the road. Thomas was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.
¯ Mitchell Norman Judson, 62, of 2301 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, was eastbound Feb. 28 on County Road 3 in Dunham Township. His 2007 Toyota Camry went off the right side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. He crossed over the centerline, went off the left side of the roadway, and struck an embankment and a tree. He was cited for operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control of it.
Arrests/Washington County
The following individuals were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:
¯ Paula Jean Walker, 35, of Parkersburg, was arrested for driving under suspension, breach of recognizance, obstructing official business, drug paraphernalia, taillights, all misdemeanors, and aggravated possession of drugs, a felony.
¯ Robert Wayne Ellison, 41, of Parkersburg, was arrested for domestic violence and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.
¯ Sophie Ann Moore, 33, of Parkersburg, was arrested for resisting arrest, obstructing official business, open container and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
¯ Mark Duane Mcendree, 34, of Belmont, was arrested for a parole violation, a felony.
¯ Christopher Allen Streight, 35, of Marietta, was arrested for two counts of theft, both misdemeanors, and two counts of possession of drugs, both felonies.
¯ Heather Lee Wagner, 46, of Marietta, was arrested for two counts of possession of drugs, both felonies.
