¯ A stolen Lincoln MKX SUV, out of St. Marys, was recovered Friday in the parking lot of Marathon gas station, 277 Muskingum Drive. The occupant in the driver’s seat was identified as a 14-year-old juvenile. Criminal charges are being referred to the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office.

¯ A patrolman responded Friday to 769 Buckeye Ave. in reference to two juvenile brothers who had run away from home because they did not want to attend school. They were found by school staff at a location in the city and returned to school.

¯ An officer responded Saturday to a Lancaster Street residence in reference to a death investigation. Upon arrival, the officer found 76-year-old Karan Berg had passed away from natural causes.

¯ Units responded to a Ninth Street address Monday in reference to the possible overdose death of 50-year-old Freddy Taylor, which had been reported to the Marietta Police Department by the county coroner. The decedent had been transported by squad to Marietta Memorial Hospital, where he passed. The case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation March 23 in Dunham Township regarding identity fraud.

¯ A deputy began an investigation March 23 into a possible assault in Dunham Township.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Thursday to Haynes Road, Belpre Township, to a report of Jared Long assaulting an individual. Long became angry with the subject, arguing and then becoming physical, at which time Long punched the subject multiple times. Long had left the area and was located and interviewed. Jared Richard Long, 25, 36384 New Hope Road, Long Bottom, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of assault.

¯ Natasha Katherine Dunn, 32, of Bellaire, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.
