The Marietta Police Department released the following reports: Jan. 1: • At around 10:40 a.m., police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the stop, a passenger was identified as Christopher Eugene Hooper, 50. An active warrant was on Hooper from Noble County. Hooper was also found to have an active temporary protective order against him with one of the protected parties being the operator of the vehicle. The department reports that Jason Lee Hibbitts, of 1006 14th Ave., Parkersburg, absconded from home confinement on Sunday. Hibbitts was ordered to home confinement as a condition of bond for three counts of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver by Wood County Magistrate Joe Kuhl.
