Jigsaw puzzle event First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta, is inviting anyone who enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles to come and help put four different 1000-piece puzzles together from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. West Virginia House candidate Beanard facing domestic battery charge

PARKERSBURG – A candidate for the House of Delegates is set for a hearing on a charge of domestic battery involving his father later this month. Justin Matthew Beanard, 137 Onward Road, Williamstown, is running for the House of Delegates seat for District 10. He was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court in February. According to the criminal complaint, on Dec. 15, Wood County sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on New England Ridge Road in Washington, W.Va., in reference to a domestic incident in progress. RIPLEY – People First of West Virginia, a statewide self-advocacy organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will hold its 33rd annual Self-Advocacy Conference Sept. 9–11, 2026, at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley. The conference was originally scheduled to take place at Jackson’s Mill 4-H Camp near Jane Lew, but was relocated after recent flooding made the middle school unusable.
