Easter egg hunt, games, and fun activities for kids will begin at 2 p.m., March 31, at Newport Baptist Church.
Tunnel United Methodist Church hosting an Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31, in Warren Township's Inman-Liberty Park. There will be four age groups, from toddlers to sixth-graders. Refreshments and activities will follow in Tunnel's multi-purpose building (where the egg hunt will be held if the weather is bad). Reno Christian Church celebrating its Homecoming, Sunday, April 15. The homecoming will feature minister Don Seevers and gospel singer Jimmy Howsom. Morning services will begin at 10 a.m., followed by lunch in the church fellowship hall. An afternoon service will immediately follow.
The Annual Great Paper Airplane Contest, Sunday, March 25, in the sanctuary of First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta, 232 Third St., Marietta; admission to the contest is the donation of a non-perishable food item for local food banks; children and adults of all ages from throughout the area are invited to participate; registration will open at 12:30 p.m. and the contest will begin at 1 p.m.; prizes awarded in each of the age groups for three categories of flight: 1. longest flight aloft; 2. fanciest flight; and 3. most accurate flight. Live the Adventure – Royal Rangers, an activity based program for boys and young men in grades kindergarten to 12th grade, will be offered Wednesday nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fort Harmar's River of Life Assembly of God Church, located at 200 Franklin St. in Marietta. Royal Rangers teaches boys to have fun while learning leadership skills. It's a merit based program, camping, rope craft, tool craft, archery, computers, sports and many others. First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta, will be having a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to benefit the Neighborhood Jam. The dinner will include a large dish of spaghetti, bread, salad, drink and dessert. The event will be held on April 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the church weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
