Evangelist John Bishop of Rose Bud, Ark., will be the speaker for a Spring Revival being conducted Sunday through Tuesday, April 15 to 17, at Twin Rivers Baptist Church, 110 D.A.V. Road, Whipple.
Services will begin at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday; and at 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Bishop, who came down with aseptic meningitis in October 1995, has an amazing story to tell of God's goodness. He says that because of some unusual and puzzling circumstances, he lost all of his memory and had to learn to read and write, along with everything else, all over again. His motor skills were also affected, which resulted in him having to learn to walk and talk again.
He has had a long road to recovery to where he is now. His wife, Donna, has helped him to learn how to walk, talk and function again.
"I still have many physical limitations, but God has helped me so wonderfully," he says.
Bishop will be telling his story during the revival services. He will also be telling how God wants to encourage people in their storms of life, whether those storms are physical, emotional, financial or something else.
Bishop now travels as an evangelist around America, telling people how good the Lord is, especially when they are hurting. He calls his ministry "God Is So Good Ministries."
Twin Rivers Baptist Church is located off Ohio 821 on D.A.V. Road, just 300 yards north of Exit 6 of Interstate 77.
