Williamstown church to host picnic

Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Williamstown will be having a community picnic and worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Williamstown Women’s Club, located at 112 West 7th St. in Williamstown.

The Rev. Art Bennett will be holding Holy Eucharist. Special fifth Sunday guests will be Grace, Saint Paul’s and Saint Ann’s Episcopal churches. All are welcome, and all who go should bring a covered dish dinner.

Tunnel UMC to

host free meal

A free community meal (chicken leg/thigh quarters) will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Tunnel United Methodist Church, located at Ohio 550 and Coffman Road. The public is invited. Handicapped parking is available in the upper parking lot by the church entrance. To request to have a meal delivered within a five-mile radius, leave a message at 740-374-5634.

Barlow church to host community lunch

A community lunheon will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Barlow Presbyterian Church. On the menu will be chipped beef gravy, creamed chicken, biscuits, applesauce, salad and desserts. Barlow Presbyterian Church is located at Warrior Drive and Ohio 550 in Barlow.

Vendor Fair set for Vienna church

A “Vendor Fair” will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29 at Wayside United Methodist Church. Interested vendors should email djarcher@wgu.edu

Homecoming picnic on Labor Day

St. Mary’s Fulda invites the public to attend the 88th Annual Labor Day Homecoming Picnic on Monday, Sept. 3.

The day starts with Mass at 9 a.m. and dinner will be served starting at 10:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Carry-out dinners will be available.

There will be a corn hole tournament beginning at 1 p.m., weather permitting. Children and adult games, 50/50 drawing, bingo and refreshment stand will be available all afternoon. Baked goods and homemade noodles will be available for sale in Fancy Stand. There will be two quilts and many cash prizes given away at raffles.

St. Mary’s is located on Fulda Road, seven miles east of Caldwell. Signs will be posted.

First Baptist to

celebrate 200 years

First Baptist Church of Marietta will be celebrating 200 years of worship with an open house, an anniversary worship service and a concert, all open to the public.

The open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. The Traditional and Contemporary Alive services will be combined for a 10:30 a.m. anniversary worship celebration on Sept. 9.

The Buckeye Travelers Band concert will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.
