Berg Church Homecoming is Sept. 16

The homecoming is the church’s annual celebration of its German heritage and will be held at Berg Church, north of Stanleyville in Fearing Township on Berg Church Road. The gathering will start at noon with a potluck lunch at 1 p.m. The public is invited to celebrate their ancestors.

Parr Hill Church Revival Sept. 16

Volunteers needed for Christmas Day Feast

Volunteers are needed for the Fifth Annual Christmas Day Feast in Marietta.

Returning teams and new volunteers are invited to the first planning meeting, a one-hour meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, in the first floor fellowship hall of Marietta First Presbyterian Church, corner of Fourth and Wooster.

More guests are expected to be served on Christmas Day than in previous years, and there’s a need for delivery drivers, delivery coordinators, kitchen helpers, servers, hospitality staff, clean up crews, cooks, help with publicity and social media and posters and flyers distribution, pre-event preparations, meat carvers, bakers, and help soliciting donations for all the food items.

Bring a friend to Moss Run Church Sept. 23

Moss Run Community Church will be having a “Friends Sunday” on Sept. 23.

Bring a friend or family member for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., morning worship at 10:30 a.m., followed by the “Fall Church Picnic” at Joan Adams’ home on Ohio 26. The public is invited.

Crafters wanted for Vienna vendor fair

Crafters are being sought for the Wayside Fall Craft and Vendor Fair. The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 29, at Wayside United Methodist Church, 3001 Grand Central Ave., Vienna. Concessions will be provided by Wayside youth.

Moss Run Church homecoming Oct. 14

Moss Run Community Church will observe is 83rd Homecoming on Oct. 14.

Morning worship will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by a dinner in the church basement. Evening services will be at 6:30 p.m. with special singing group, Laurel Creek.

The church is located 9 miles out Ohio 26 on the right.

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church’s 17th Annual Community Give-Away Day will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the church, located at 401 Scammel St., Marietta.

The congregation will be donating slightly used items to be given away for free to those in the community in need. Items include toys, household goods, clothes, books, shoes, etc.

Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Williamstown will be having a community picnic and worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Williamstown Women’s Club, located at 112 West 7th St. in Williamstown. The Rev. Art Bennett will be holding Holy Eucharist. Special fifth Sunday guests will be Grace, Saint Paul’s and Saint Ann’s Episcopal churches. All are welcome, and all who go should bring a covered dish dinner.

An Autumn Leaves Bazaar will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 5 at Faith United Methodist Church, 503 Seventh St., Marietta. There will be homemade vegetable soup, bean soup and chili sold by the quart and pint, baked goods, crafts, country store. Lunch will be served.

Marietta First Church of the Nazarene’s Third Annual Craft Show will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the church, located at 100 Mill Creek Road, Marietta.

Crafters with handmade items are being sought. The cost for a 10′ by 10′ booth is $25.

There will be a concession stand and bake sale. All attendees receive a ticket for door prizes. There will be free admission.

All proceeds go to the church’s children’s department to help children with special needs.
