Church to celebrate 40th anniversary in Marietta

On the weekend of July 13 and 14, Crown Of Life Lutheran Church will be busy celebrating its founding. Officially, this congregation was organized and had its start in 1983. However, their first regular Sunday worship did not happen until the spring of 1984. Now, 40 years later this congregation celebrates their ministry to the people of the Mid-Ohio Valley. By Mark Wilmoth When the Selectboard of Croydon, NH, disbanded their one-man police force in January 2020, they ordered Chief Richard Lee to immediately turn in all of the town’s equipment. Lee gave the key to the police cruiser to the Selectboard and then went back into an office and removed his gun, bulletproof vest, and uniform. Stations of the Cross to be held next weekend

PARKERSBURG — The Interfaith Good Friday Stations of the Cross Walk will be held Friday, March 29, beginning at noon at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 532 Market St. All are invited to attend. Those unable to walk church to church are invited to stay at St. Francis Xavier where all 14 stations are prayed. Red Hat members are not allowed to sell products at club meetings and must not leverage their membership as a way to get others to buy. Members can’t use their membership in the Red Hat Society as a launching pad for their personal businesses. School band members are expected to show up for practices, even when the practices fall during the evening hours at inconvenient times.
