Musician McKnight to perform at UU Church

Folk artist Andrew McKnight will present a special music service, “The Gifts in Our Genes,” on Sunday, Sept. 23, at First Unitarian Universalist Society of Marietta, located on the corners of Third and Putnam streets in Marietta. The service begins at 11 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Awana program at Twin Rivers Baptist Church

The Awana program for 2018-19 at Twin Rivers Baptist Church, 110 D.A.V. Road, Whipple, began Wednesday, Sept. 19, and will continue throughout the school year, ending in May. The opening session for this year’s Awana program will feature special activities, including inflatables, games and pizza. The program for boys and girls will continue each Wednesday through May, with sessions to be held from 7 to 8:20 each week. St. Mary Catholic will hold its annual Fall Fest

St. Mary Catholic School will hold its Fall Festival from Sept. 28 to 30 with all activities being held in the Monsignor Kakascik Parish Center of the school. Friday evening, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m., will be an adult evening out.
