God’s promise of new life
As I walked by Gilman’s prayer garden recently, I was caught up in the beauty blossoming there. The sky was a brilliant shade of blue; the grass was a lush green. There were splashes of bright color everywhere—the yellow of the daffodils, the pink of the hyacinth, the red and purple tulips, the pink and green of the rose of Sharon. After this winter of snow, cold, and flooding, the beauty of Spring is even more dazzling. One would have to be blind not to notice the gift of God’s awakening creation around us.
