Terrie Lee Bain, 68, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at her residence.

She was born Jan. 13, 1949, in Oakland, Calif., to the late Robert and Dorothy Marie Davis Wildermuth.

Terrie traveled the U.S. and Japan until graduating high school. She attended both Marietta College and the University of Maryland attaining both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in early childhood education and many other certifications in her field including most recently a one year program for Master Teaching Certification. Terrie was a school teacher for the Marietta City School District for 23 years. Terrie was a great asset in Marietta between her years as the children's librarian at Marietta Public Library, teacher at North Hills Elementary and Title I teacher at Harmar Elementary. Besides the loss to her family, she will be sorely missed by her fellow teachers and all her students who loved her. She loved teaching her students, enjoyed teaching Safety Town during her summers for many years. She loved entertaining visiting family and was a close relative to Betty and Norm Wolfe.

She is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" Eesley, Ph.D. (Lijie) of Stanford, Calif.; sisters, Sandra Wildermuth Clement of Atlanta, Ga., Debra Wildermuth Massaro (Angelo, deceased) and brother Robert E. Wildermuth Jr. (Dawn) of Venice, Fla. She had two nieces, Briana Massaro and Sarah Wildermuth, and three nephews, Gian Carlo Massaro, Trey Wildermuth and Thomas Wildermuth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Benjamin F. Bain II (12/21/2014).

Cremation will be observed with a memorial service being planned for Saturday, July 8, at 2 p.m. at Hadley Funeral Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta.
