Keith B. Ware
Keith Burton Ware, 81, of Marietta, Ohio went onto his reward November 27, 2020 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, Ohio after a brief battle with COVID.
Keith was born October 24, 1939 in Webster Springs, West Virginia, to the late Audie and Sadie Ware.
Keith was a faithful member of the Sixth & Washington Streets Church of Christ where he served as a deacon until his Alzheimer’s wouldn’t allow. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963-1967 where he served as an Aircraft Specialist and completed a tour in Vietnam. He was employed at BF Goodrich and in later years, Food 4 Less.
Keith enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and spending hours with his grandchildren. He was known for his bear hugs and storytelling.
Keith is survived by his wife, Carol Tidd Ware, of 48 years, daughter Traci (Tom), son Ryan, son Jason (Renee’), and his daughter-in-law Mary Ann Ware. Keith was blessed with six grandchildren, Colton and Coen Eddy, Gavin and Carson Ware, and Brooks and Brielle Ware. Also surviving are his brothers Kenneth and Connel (Ruby) Ware, sister Connie Leuliette (Charles), and sister-in-law Barbara Hickman (Paul). He also had numerous nieces and nephews and one great niece, Leighton, who called him Pappy Keith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte McCracken Ware, his twin brother Kermit, brother Roger, sister Roberta Pugh, brother-in-law Charles Pugh, sister-in-law Mary Ann Ware, and nephew Neal Ware.
A private memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sixth & Washington Streets Church of Christ, O’Neill Adult Day Center, or the Mid Ohio Valley Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Keith.
