Dale Jay “GURN” Satterfield

Dale Jay “GURN” Satterfield, 61, of Newport, Ohio, passed Friday, August 18, 2023.

He was born November 12, 1961, In Parkersburg, WV, the son of the late Dale Satterfield and Arlene Satterfield.

GURN attended Frontier High School and Joint Vocational School; graduated in 1980.

His brothers are Craig (Janine), Alan, and Kurt (Amanda); sister Kathy (Rick) Tustin. nephews James Perrine, Nathan, Lake and Karter Satterfield; nieces Alissa (Colin) Ward and Alana (Jim) O’Connell. Great nephews Gavin and Landon Ward and Declan O’Connell; one great niece Luna Perrine.

He had been employed in numerous positions in the Oil and Gas Industry, mechanic, truck driver, roustabout, etc.

GURNS “wheels” have stopped, but his memories will keep turning with his friends who were a part of all of his: motocross riding and racing dirt bikes and ATVs, Harley Davidson motorcycle, 4X4 monster pickup events, show car involvement, commercial trucks, tractors, mowers, garage jacks and even then the wheelchair.

His life was enriched greatly with Patty Storts and many of his close friends!

The daredevil has now rejoined his father, “DALEO”.
