Jack Lee Heiney, 87, New Matamoras, OH, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born in Meigs County, OH, on April 10, 1936, he was a son of the William Arthur and Edith Mae Sayre Heiney. He was a 1955 graduate of New Matamoras High School, where he enjoyed playing basketball. He retired from Ormet after 38 years. He helped build Ormet. Jack was carpenter and he liked to build things. He was family oriented and loved his family.

He is survived by his son, David (Jane) Heiney; daughter-in-law, Brenda (Don) Heiney-Davis; four grandchildren, Nathan (Tayler) Heiney, Caroline (Bryce) Heiney-Clary, Cody (Alanna) Heiney, and “William” Levi Heiney; four great-grandchildren, Kaylen and Kendall Heiney, and Haven and Grayson Clary; brother-in-law, Neil Beaver; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ruth Anne Amos Heiney; one son, Dan Heiney; five brothers, Roy, Don, Bob, Bill, and George Heiney; and two sisters, Juanita Beaver, and Gladys Hutchison.

A graveside service will be held 12:30 P.M. Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Matamoras Cemetery with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Friends may call from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. Thursday at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
