Sharon Gwen Armstrong

Sharon Gwen Armstrong, nee Lauck, 69, of Tryon, NC, passed away on August 23, 2023, in the loving presence of her husband of 47 years, Dan Armstrong.

She was the daughter of Jack and Mary Lauck of Williamstown, WV, and was a member of the graduating class of 1972.

She spent most of her life living in Morgantown, WV where she and Dan raised 3 daughters. She retired from Mon General Hospital after 30+ years of service in the laboratory.

In life, Sharon loved to explore the world. Her travels lead her to ask, “Where does this road go?” and then took it. Her explorations took her to most parts of her home state of WV allowing her to see the nature she loved so much. Sharon loved bird watching. Her favorite past time was feeding the birds on her back porch.

She is survived by her husband, Dan Armstrong; her mother Mary Lauck of Williamstown, WV; her siblings Katherine (John) Ernst of Charleston, SC, David Lauck of Williamstown, WV, and Trina Lauck of Parkersburg, WV; her daughters Carissa (Daniel) Hammonds of Cresco, PA, Rebecca (Evan) Fedorko of Morgantown, WV, and Megan (Travis) Kline of Fairmont, WV; and her 6 grandchildren: Danica Hammonds, Cormac Fedorko, Lucas Hammonds, Elias Fedorko, Aidan Kline, and Liadan Fedorko.
