Mary Elizabeth Doak

Mary Elizabeth Doak, 91, Newport, OH, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, after a long illness. Born in Archers Fork, Washington County, OH, on October 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ory and Anna Elizabeth Eddy Westbrook. She was a homemaker and was a member of Newport Church of Christ. She worked for a short period of time for L.G. Wright Glass Company in New Martinsville, WV.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Robert L. Doak; two sons, Douglas (Darlene) Cochran, and Robert (Sheila) Cochran; three grandchildren, Kevin, Justin, and Amanda; three great-grandchildren; two step-children, Brian (Pam) Doak, and Cris (Tonya) Doak; two step-grandchildren, Alex and Jesse Doak; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers. The family would like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and her special caregiver, Ciera Burn.

Services will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023, at 3:00 P. M. at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV, with Lloyd Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Victory Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 P. M to 3 P. M. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Mary’s great-niece that is fighting breast cancer, Logann (Boone) Kehrer, 1062 State Ridge Road, Middlebourne, WV 26149.
