Carolyn Sue Biggins

Carol passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer on May 22, 2024. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William (Bill) E. Biggins, and her mother and father, Don and Rose Anderson.

She is survived by her siblings Ray Anderson, Judy Martin, Jim Anderson, Janice Carter, and Donna Anderson; children Cindy Rosfjord, Mike Biggins, Scott Biggins, Jackie Alden, and Timothy Biggins; grandchildren Chris Biggins, Jacob Biggins, Kendra Thompson, Jaimie Mason, Sam Rosfjord, Zack Rosfjord, Eric Thompson, Mikayla Biggins, McKenna Biggins, Michael Biggins, Natasha Biggins, Kendrick Marcum, Brent Marcum, and Braylee Marcum; and great-grandchildren Andrew, Ryan, Logan, Cora, Jameson, Reese, and Rosealynn Biggins as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carol was born in Marietta and grew up on a farm near Lowell. After graduating high school, she was a government secretary in Washington D.C., where she met her husband Bill. After marrying Bill she became a stay at home mother while he was deployed in Vietnam. She had five children before going back to school at Marietta College and attaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

In 1996, her husband Bill passed away, leaving her to raise their youngest son on her own. Carol enjoyed camping, hiking, reading, crocheting, and most of all spending time with her family.

The celebration of life will be held on July 14, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. at the Valley Gem sternwheeler. (601 Front St. Marietta, Ohio 45750)
