Michael J. “Mike” Maki

Michael J. “Mike” Maki, 76, Belmont, WV, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born in South Bend, IN, on June 24, 1947, he was the son of the late Norman Nester and Pauline Cline Maki. He was a 1967 graduate of Newport High School, and worked for several Bread Companies. He was a Gideon and attended Belmont Baptist Church. He was a substitute bus driver for Frontier School District. Mike loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristine (Matt) Efaw, and Michele Maki; eight grandchildren, Jared Efaw, Andrew Sutherland, Rogan Holt, Cameron (Danielle) Efaw, Reiss Holt, Jayten Efaw, Rylan Holt, and Reed Holt; and three great-grandchildren, Rexton Holt, Rhett Holt, and Archer Efaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pamela Maki; daughter, Tabitha Holt; son, Matthew Maki; grandson, Brandon Sutherland; grandmother, Ethel Cline; and grandfather, Burt Cline.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday June 2, 2024 at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor Scott McGraw officiating. Burial will follow in Friendly Cemetery.
