Ann E. Parlin

Ann E. Parlin passed away on June 10, 2024. She was born on May 14, 1933, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She lived in St. Marys, West Virginia, until age eight when she moved with her parents Charles T. and Opal Wilson Bole, and her brother Ted and sister Judy, to Marietta, Ohio.

Ann attended Washington Street Elementary School and graduated from Marietta High School in 1951. She attended Marietta College, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

Ann worked for Ohio Bell, now AT&T, for 55 years. She was a member of Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio for more than 60 years.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and former husband Floyd M. Parlin, and survived by her sister Judy (Jeff) Bergen, Worthington, Ohio, and her sister-in-law Joy Bole of Laurel, Maryland; and her nieces Elizabeth (Robert), Kathleen (David) and Amy (Matt); Jennifer (Lee), Liesl (Tom), Laura (John), nephews John (Jennifer), Tom (Janneke), and grandnieces and grandnephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Ann’s body was donated to The Ohio State University for Medical School research.

A celebration of life with her family will be held at a later time.
