Jerry Hamilton Graham

Jerry Hamilton Graham, 75, passed away in his home on June 11, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Jerry was a devoted husband to Vickie Graham, sharing a lifetime of companionship and unwavering support. Their love story was one of resilience and commitment, weathering life's storms together for an incredible 51 years. Jerry loved his family and lived to always be there for those he cherished. Jerry is survived by his wife, Vickie Graham; daughter, Amanda Sutphin (Shawn Williams); younger sister, Janey Graham (Dave Hines); nephew, John Hines; Grandchildren, Kelsey Sutphin, Makenna Sutphin, Makalyn Williams, Jordan Williams, and Hayla Maxted (Matt); Great-Grandchildren, Flynn and Eli Dalrymple and many cousins and close friends. Jerry's daughter and grandchildren brought him immense joy. Jerry delighted in their laughter, their innocence, and the promise of generations to come. He was the best Dad and Pappy and vowed to always be there for them.

For the past 9 years, Jerry served as a dedicated bus driver at Frontier Local. His commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the students he transported was unwavering. His friendly smile and warm greetings brightened the mornings of countless children. Jerry served in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1973, and for an additional 2 years in the Reserves, where he selflessly served as a firefighter. His dedication to duty and commitment to protecting others exemplified his character.

Additionally, Jerry held the esteemed position of Treasurer at the Newport Water and Sewer District for an impressive 30 years. His dedication contributed significantly to the community's well-being Jerry Hamilton Graham's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he shared with his family and friends. His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply. A celebration of life will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Pastor Jamie Perna officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 2 P.M.
