Kenneth S. "Steve" Eddy, 64, of Newport, passed away at 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Steve was born July 3, 1960, in Marietta, a son of Kenneth T. Eddy and Jane E. Robbins Eddy. He was employed by Hall Drilling as a welder.
Steve is survived by one son and 3 daughters: Kenneth S. (Elizabeth) Eddy, Jr. of Newport, Kendra (Geoff McCabe) Eddy of Marietta, Katrina (Cole Dutton) Eddy of Lowell and Kim Eddy of Marietta; grandchildren: Emma, Wyatt and Macy Eddy, Michael Craig, Landon Lauer, Sawyer Dutton, Jessica Books, Hayden Hart and Mason Clark; bonus daughters: Casey Buckley and her 2 children, Catelyn VanMeter and her child. He was also survived by his siblings: Danny, Norma, Rose, Martha, Keneta, Richard and Deane and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Krista Eddy and brother Paul Eddy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday (Aug. 12) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Newport Cemetery.
