Stephanie (Hays) Smith, 85, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Born on February 23, 1939, in Marietta, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Dorothy (Stehle) Hays. Stephanie was the wife of the late Paul R. Smith, whom she married on July 3, 1959, in Marietta, Ohio. Stephanie found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. In addition to her parents and husband, Stephanie was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Medley, and her brother-in-law David Smith. She is survived by her sisters Jocelyn Hays, Eleanor Tucker and her husband Thomas, and sister-in-law Susan Smith; and her children, Kathryn Kelly and her husband Thomas of Delaware, OH; Jonathan Smith and his wife Julie of Hudson, NH; Margaret Prolman and her husband Andrew of Manchester, NH; and Andrea Tessier of Easton, PA. She also leaves behind twelve cherished grandchildren: Gavin Kelly and his wife Morgan, Tyler Kelly, Anna Kelly; Alex Prolman, Cam Prolman and his wife Sera; Devon Smith, and Harry Smith; Rachel Tessier, Sophie Tessier, and Hannah Tessier. Additionally, she is survived by her great-granddaughter, Norah Prolman. SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the Marietta Country Club, 705 Pike Street, Marietta, Ohio from 3 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dwight K. and Dorothy S.
