Judith Sawyer Deeds, age 83, passed away on August 13 at her home in Houston, Texas. Judie was the daughter of Ralph Sawyer, a long time vocational-agriculture teacher at MHS and Ruth Sawyer. Judie had attended the Marietta schools graduating in 1959. She had been a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Marietta. Marrying David Deeds they traveled and lived in many places including Australia, Holland, Parkersburg, W.Va. and Marietta. She is survived by her husband David Deeds, her brother Dean Sawyer of Alaska, and her children Douglas Deeds and Deborah Aoyagi.
A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Sept. 14 at the CTS Lutheran Church of Houston, Texas.
