On February 25th, 1948, in Marietta OH, Patty was born to the late Clyde and Ruth Thomas. She was raised with her sister, Shirley (Lloyd) Westbrook of Reno. Patty graduated from Marietta High School in 1966.
If Patty looks familiar to you, it is likely that she waited on you somewhere in the Grand Central Mall. Her retail career introduced her to so many people over the years.
She met even more people as a member of the Lynn Street Church of Christ. She enjoyed doing things for others. She would drive friends to appointments, sit with someone during a cancer treatment, or bring someone brownies "just because".
Her absence is already felt by her husband Gary Teters, who was her best friend and loyal caretaker. She was very proud of her children, Jennifer (Tom) Sams and Brian (Jessica) Warden. She was MooMoo to her kids and their friends, and her grandchildren (Reid and Avery Warden, Bethany Sams). She will be missed by all.
MooMoo may have passed on September 20th, 2024, but her spirit lives on.
The family will have a private memorial celebration at a later date. To memorialize Patty in your own way, please consider a random act of kindness in her honor.
A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.
