Robert "Bob" E. Mendenhall, 82, of Reno, OH, passed away Friday morning September 13, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born March 16, 1942 in Marietta, OH, to the late John E. and Betty J. Simmons Mendenhall. Bob worked for Local #972 I.B.E.W. and was a member of Reno Christian Church. He was a charter member of the Reno Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Chief for many years and started the Reno EMS. Bob is survived by his wife Lyn Kuhn Mendenhall, sons Chris and Bill Mendenhall, daughter Tammy Wilson, grandchildren, Cole Wilson, John Mendenhall, Alyssa Vandale, and Amy Cross, great grandchildren Addison and Cooper Gherke, brother-in-law Brian Kuhn (Cindy), sister-in-law Debbie Kuhn, daughter-in-law Melissa Wyatt and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH, with Fr. Gene Sheppard officiating, burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Reno Vol. Fire Dept. P.O.
