Phillip Lee Smith

Phillip Lee Smith, 60, of Cutler, passed away October 22, 2024, at the Belpre Campus of Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born April 12, 1964, in Beverly, OH, a son of the late Wilbur Howard Smith and Geneva Lucas McCune.

Phil was a retired Carpenter by trade. He was always working on one of his projects or a friend’s house or whatever a family member’s project was needing done. His family and extended family were most important to him.

Surviving are his two daughters: Brittany Flowers (Doug Parsons) of Belpre and Ashley Smith (Jermaine Richey) of Cutler, sister Patricia Smith (Tony Hill) of Bartlett, OH, brother Gerald Smith of Chillicothe, OH, bonus son Josh Ferrebee and special niece Mariah Smith (Lorenzo Cummings).

He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Demetrius Smith, Cheylynn Parsons, Peyton Flowers, Zayvia Shorter, Kingsley Parsons and Zyaire Cavaness.

In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his Fiance Tisha Whitmore and brothers Jack Lucas and Frank Howard Mayle.

Funeral services will be Saturday November 2, 2024, 1PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Phil Mayle officiating. Interment will follow at the Southland Mission Cemetery, Cutler. Visitation will be 11AM to 1PM.
