Tom Burroughs, 72, of Little Hocking, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024 ,at his home surrounded by family. He was born on March 12, 1952, and was the son of the late Thomas Larkin Sr. and Evelyn Lucille Ruble Burroughs. Tom was married to his soulmate, Karen Burroughs, for over 50 years and they were blessed with three children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. For over 30 years he owned and operated Burroughs Siding Specialist. Every drive through the Mid-Ohio Valley included a "we worked on that house" conversation. He was an avid fan of the Ohio State University Football team. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing but most of all enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He would never miss a game or event that his kids or grandkids participated in. He was best known for his love of family, generosity, and kind smile.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Burroughs, 2 sons, Jason (Kristi) Burroughs of Marietta, Ohio, Randy (Tammy Kirby) Wright of Williamstown, WV, a daughter, Stacy (Brian Hines) Bolden of Amesville, Ohio. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jacob (Laura) Burroughs, Caitlyn (Thomas Butchko) Burroughs, Grace (Ryan Wittekind) Bolden, Leah Hines, Timothy Hines, Jenna Hines, Emma Dutton, Ali (Tyler) Barnhart, Chance Wright, Bailey Wright, Sydney Wright, great grandchildren, Jakobi Burroughs, Zelena Walker, Ethan Barnhart, and Penelope Barnhart, his three sisters, Phyllis Harris, Patty Peck, and Vickie (Allan) Milhone.
Services will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blennerhassett Church of the Nazarene at 421 Martown Road, Parkersburg, WV 26101.
