John Henry Russell

John Henry Russell was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on November 18, 1943, to the late Henry and Ruth Wiseman Russell. He died October 9, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. John lived most of his life in Marietta, Ohio.

He served in the Air Force from 1961 to 1965. John married Rhea Smith Russell on February 17, 1966, and they were married 58 years. He is survived by his wife Rhea, a sister Carole Ann (Aubry) Wages; four half- brothers Terry, Teddy (deceased), Tracy, and Todd Russell; a son John (Carla ) Russell, a daughter Rhea (David) Bomer; seven grandchildren, Adam, Justin, and Nathan (Star) Bomer, Savannah Arthur, Courtney(Tyler) Ritchey, David (Brittani) Bomer, and Krystine (Jeremy) Rossi; six great grandchildren, Silas, Thea, Emma, Kyle, Briar, and Tucker; two nieces, Cheryl (Leo) Lowers, and Sandy (David) Thornberry; and many grand and great grand nieces and nephews. John Retired from Wiremold Systems in 2004 as Project Manager after 31 years of service in many areas of the company. He enjoyed traveling all over the United States. He also enjoyed listening to music with his extensive collection of Original Master Recordings and attending jazz concerts. John was involved with the Lions Club Organization for many years, and he helped organize and served as president of the Marietta Evening Lions Club. Above all, throughout his life, John was involved in many bodies within the Masonic Organization. John believed in its principles and lived his life as a faithful servant of the craft.
