Ruby Tice Murphy Brown entered eternal rest on 10.31.24. She was born in Rinards Mill, Ohio, on 11.14.1927 to Mary and Dorsey Tice. She now joins her 13 siblings. After graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1945 the government recruited her to work in Marietta to assemble small indicator lights for WW 2 airplanes. She married George R. Murphy of Newport on 2.14.46 when he returned from the war. Ruby is survived by 3 of her six children. James Murphy of Newport, Roger Murphy (MaryAnn) of Parkersburg. Cindy Murphy Stewart (Edwin) Friday Harbor, WA. Ruby's 3 predeceased children are Cathy Fairbanks of Marietta, Carol Clift (Dave) and Michael Murphy of Newport. Ruby has 14 loving grandchildren, 23 greats, & 8 great greats and many nieces & nephews. Ruby earned her LP Nursing degree in 1968 and worked at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She had a servant's heart and loved Jehovah God.
She enjoyed family, travel, nutrition, birds, word puzzles, and watching the happenings on the Ohio River.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. 11.9.24 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses at 4635 State Route 60, Marietta, Ohio.
